Well, Santa was nice to me this year and left some money to play around with. This let me fufill a want I have had for a few Benchmades. I ordered an 806D2 PE, a 921 PE, and a 940 PE from Best Knives today. I have been wanting these knives for quite a while now, and finally bit the bullet today. I'm looking forward to getting these in and playing with them. The only problem I can see having is deciding which ones I will carry at any given time.
I also bought a nice strop and steel from www.handamerican.com. I got the ProCombo 10 (10"x3") leather hone that comes with two plates. One plate has natural conditioned leather on one side, and one side of leather used with Chromium Oxide. The other plate comes with two sides of textured leather for use with their Silicone Carbide powder (which they ship with 2 different grits of my choice). I chose the 800 and 1200 grits. They seem to make really high quality products, and I'm looking forward to trying them out.
