Mike-Unbelievable work-completely over the top beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing and God bless you for your skill.

Mmmmm, all those macro shots! That's what I like, great quality pics and enough of 'em to see all the details.

That's a superb, museum quality piece. My favorite part, personally, is the fullers and sculpting of the ricasso, a return to the generosity of renaissance embellishment but with the clinical quality of, well, Quesenberry.

All that and the symmetry of the blade. The tip is hard to believe if I didn't see it myself. Beautiful photos.

been really looking forward to seeing your pics of this piece, and they did not disappoint!
super grateful to have been able to see this piece in person

hope you don't mind me posting a couple of pics for Blade;
that's Quesenberry on the left, and the guy on the right...I didn't get his name, but apparently he's kind of a big deal:D

That's Ryan Hays, CKCA's new Grand Poobah and longtime C&H asset, looking especially fashionable in this shot as he admires Saign and Mike's collaborative piece

here' a pic of Saign Charlestein I dug up from the Seattle show a couple years back

he makes some wild stuff, look him up on facebook if you are in there

Masterpiece immediately comes to mind on this one, exceptional in every way.

What a glorious piece. Still reigning at the VERY, very top.

Caleb: So good that you were able to spend time with it. I couldn't. It deserves this. Smart layout, great imagery.

I never saw the scabbard. I'm assuming this was a continuing construction? Did this get created since Blade?

Bravo to all!

Thank you all for the kind words. Caleb your images are amazing as always. Really enjoy seeing the different angles and exposures. Those close ups are unforgiving.
Coop, the scabbard was done after the Blade show at the request of the customer. I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

It's good to see this one again. What a rare piece combining so much talent, art and a wicked blade. I was curious to see how it would portray in photos since it was one of those knives that has an immense presence in person. Well done Caleb, you gave me flashbacks of the emotions this piece evoked when I first saw it at BLADE. It started to tell me a story as soon as I picked it up until I 'woke' and realized I had no idea how long I had been holding it but should probably put it back. I would have liked to spend so much more time with it and now I can in pics! That scabbard is incredible also.

Thank you guys very much for the kind words! It was an absolute pleasure to photograph this piece.

Thanks for the extra pics, Lorien!

Caleb, you did this so proud. Love all the images. I have to go back every few frames and see little things I missed before. Have held this in hand words cannot describe.:thumbup::thumbup:

Mike and Saign you guys rock:thumbup::thumbup:

Stratospheric level on all accounts.

Congrates to the collector for this fine museum quality piece.

Thanks for showing

Bing

I think Bing and Haley hit this on the head !

Caleb, your pictures are spectacular, but the essence of this knife requires you to hold it as well

I had the honor of "guarding" this piece for Mike as he took care of other business around the Blade Show, and I can't tell you the number of people who came by who were stunned into silence or said things like " He really MADE this???" "How can you even do something like this???"

Mike is an unbelievable craftsman.....and quite possibly the world's WORST self-promoter -:p-

which is why I'm very glad Ryan and Joe P dragged him around with the piece and put him on video....

Saign is a great guy as well
