"What's up doc's" ever hear the line "I only did it once before"? Been the elusive looky lou for quite some time, but thanks to spark, am in the saddle. I can remember the first time I ever sat on Santa's lap in the early fifties, must of been about 4 yrs old and asked for just one thing for Christmas, a pocket knife. That Christmas, sure enough was a genuine Davy Crockett pocket knife. Thought I was in heaven. Been hooked ever since.
Have had a bunch of different makes and models over the years but never a micro-tech. Something about aluminum on a knife never seemed quite right. Well, I broke down and got an older model Socom at a gun show but made the mistake of looking on the forums and reading about the new elite. One thing led to another and I ended up on Chief's site. While getting bit by the bug (very low immune system)I noticed Chief was only 20 minutes away. Gave him a call, he ordered 3 different styles and had them 48 hours later with no obligation. We had a nice visit just talking, discussing knives and sharing experiences. It was over when he broke out the LCC DA proto. Now I'm looking forward to my LCC DA on order, another chance to visit with Chief, and the opportunity to get to know other forum members as well.
Question: What are some of yall's (now speaking in Okie)first knives?

First knife, man at 46 I can't remember the first one, a small case I think, my uncle took it and said `Hey, this knife has two shields on it, as he flipped it over, by golly it LOOKED like it had two one on either side, but he waved his hand over the knife and then there were no shields on the scales, either side! I was blown away, only 6 at the time mind you, I had to learn that trick!! And now it's my favorite trick to do, especially with someones OWN knife, I flip the knife over and tell them, Wow you have a ONE OF A KIND here and better keep it safe! then when I give it back they go to look for the second shield and it's missing, I act surprised and start looking around on the ground for this most important part! gets them almost every time.
