I'm stumped, I had someone ask me If I have heard of a knife called a "Boson's mate" knife made by BUCK. He thinks its 110 that his father had in the NAVY 1969-73 Any help? was there a particular knife made by BUCK.
A Boatswains mate would probably find the Buck 315 handy with it's marlin spike. Not sure of the differences, if any but it was called The Mariner and the Yachtsman.
Thank you Badhammer & Oregon BINGO! I think you both have nailed it out fo the 2 versions of knives. I actaully had my eyes on a 315 Yachtsmen for about a month and backed off it because I don't salt water sport fish or have a sailing vessel. Wish I hadn't....
That 2nd photo Oregon is interesting....I wonder if thats what he refering too. Thank you so much for your speedy responses....awesome! great job men!
You are have a very high probability of being correct. There are so very very few known early Buck re-blades. Here are pics of Case 6265 for comparison and I wish that I could find a better photo of the target 2 blade folder in order to read the tangs.
I foudn this crustation most likely owned by Larry the lobster Boy...LOL Its very cool!
