I have a question about a Buck 110 listed on an auction site, so I figured I'd ask the experts here.

It's listed as a 110 SFO , with stag scales. The picture of the box shows a model # 110STSSH-B and the production date is 10/15.
Do you think this is legit? or did someone just rescale a bunch of 110's ?
The price is reasonable and a was going to buy one, but I figured I'd ask first.

Thanks
Joe

Legit. Special order by the vendor with Buck. I've thought about ordering one myself but I'm getting pickier about stag for my collection. I want to see the ACTUAL knife I would be buying and not the stock photo. Wonder if they have a store front, Springfield MO is not that far... ;o)

SFO....? Not sure what that means.

Thank you for the reply , I appreciate it.
Sorry about the abbreviation , SFO , "special factory order", I was typing without thinking. :)

Good looking stag and workman like execution as seen straight on of the stock picture. It would be informative to see the actual knife you are buying from many viewpoints. I like to put 12 photos into an ad. for a folder I want to vend in order to give a buyer a good chance to see what the knife really looks like, defects, wonders, beauty, irregularities, oddities, clever workmanship, matching scales, proud bark and such. Farm boys don't much like pigs bot in pokes. From the factory you have a good chance of hitting pay dirt but the ordering dealer pays for the knives to be built to a certain standard.

Oregon, 'a pig in a poke' is a Southern term. Did you marry a Southern girl? Or perhaps your sister? I'm impressed you coming up with these Southern terms. My wife and I are proud of you. DM

Following you and Oregon around on some of these threads is all the entertainment I need in a day. You guys are nuts!

You can get most things from them a few dollars cheaper by going directly to them as opposed to thru the auction site. You still have protection thru your credit card. FYI they did the 119 and 110's in the 5160 steel.
