hey guys, this is my first post, and i had a quick question about a knife i just ordered. the full title(name) of this folder is the C.U.B. Master's Model Tactical Knife. i was just curious about what C.U.B stood for. i originally bought the journeyman model, but returned it when i found out thay made this master model that i just ordered today off the web. thanks!

Why did you return the Journeyman for the Masters model?

well just for personal preference reasons really, and i basically payed the same price(not including shipping). i prefer the g-10 when i can have it, well this is actually my first knife with g-10 scales. i also am a fan of the better steel, and the the solid piece of stainless that goes from the lock to around the finger loop. i actually did not know that 5.11 made knives till i saw a couple in the knife shop i frequent. after the pocket clip broke on my old cs large voyager about 2 years ago, i haven't had a defensive type folder to carry. i just would carry my swiss army tinkerer. well i finally broke down and decided to buy something. i was originally gonna just buy the cheaper boker plus series karambit folder, but decided to get the 5.11 for about 105 including tax(kinda high, but i didn't know). after doing some research the next day, and learning about the masters model i realized i paid too much, and that the masters model had more features that i prefer in a defensive type folder, so i ordered it online for about $106, and then $16 for 2 day shipping. for the longest time i dismissed the karambit, but i decided to venture out and try one. sorry for the long post.

I understand. I have several of the the Journeyman and Masters karambits and I was just wondering why you didn't like the Journeyman. I actually like the 154CM blade on the Journeyman better.
