Question about a domain name

Hi all,
don't know where to post this (or how much to post about this)...but I think this is in the right location.

I own a domain name. I was going to request a username change to that domain name (xxxxxKnives). however, I just noticed that someone else has registered with that username (back in 08, but never ever logged in or posted).

Can I still request to get my username changed, to an existing user that neverr logged in or posted? My other concern is, that someone else can post, and pretend to represent my domain name.

If one of the Mods want to email me offlist, I can validate everyting. I just don't know how much information to post here.

And, the LAST THING I WANT TO do, is step on any toes.

Thanks a bunch. Really don't know how much to post, so I'm just throwing this out there.

This has been such an awesome community.

Hope you understand.

Thanks!

Unless you become a paid dealer member, you may not list your domain name, either as your username, or in your sig line, or posts.

Oh, I understand that. I also have no problem with that. So, what is the next step?

Thanks!

btw, just a side clariification question: are you saying that anyone with the word "Knives" in their username, must be a paid member?

Thanks!

No, that's not what he said and I think it's first come first serve with usernames.
..and of course I could be wrong. :)

Right.

However if your name ending with 'Knives' is a domain name, or your business name, then you must have the appropriate Dealer, or Knifemaker membership.
