Hi i'm new to this part of the forum and none to educated about buck knives,
but my Dad dug an old 110 out of his closet and i'm guesing it's a limmeted edition because on the back of the blade it says 4445 of 4500. It has a mother bear and to cubs up a tree on the blade. The handel is wood with brass bolsters ant the bears seem to be gold.

If anyone here can tell me about this knife it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Jonathan

I cant help, but I will say a pic would help, the Gold etch guys will be along at some point and they'll know.

Hi Bagbyknoter,

Can you also post a photo of the back of the knife?

As Armand(ITE) said your knife was issued by Buck in 1986. The issue is called "Bear 7 Cubs' (in tree)(vert.) this knife was sold at Sears. The reason I would like to see the back of the knife is due to the info you stated 4445 of 4500. The 86 issue of this knife said only 1500 were made, the data sheet also shows this knife should be a 4 dot blade and yours is not......very interesting. The data sheet shows current value at $125.00, I have seen this issue sell for $50.00 - $90.00 on ebay.

I do not have one of this issue......so I hope one of the fellows can post a photo of one they have. Then we can see what their knife blade stamp & XXXX of XXXX is.

Hi Jonathan,

Welcome to the Buck forum!

Don't feel stupid, you came to the right place to get your questions answered. When i looked at your first photo of the bears in the tree, I thought the "K" in the Buck stamp was a < stamp for the year 1986....LOL. When the limited edition/special order data sheet sheet confirmed the knife was issued in 86 that only helped my mental error in what I thought I saw:rolleyes:. Then the data sheet showed your knife as a 4 dot, i then thought wow....an uncomon version of this knife. So, we all make errors from time to time, don't swet it.

That is one sweet looking knife your dad gave you. I hope you enjoy it and thanks for showing it to us

JB, I too saw it as a 1986 . Bagby, The sun was shining in GA. today . Even though there were 1500 of that model mfg. we don't see many of them . Thanks for the photos and for the visit . DM
