Question about a name change

I'd like to change my username to Budman. There is a budman user that hasn't had any activity since 2003. Can there be a Budman as well as a budman?

If not do old user ids ever get purged?

Old users don't get purged if there are posts attached to that ID.

I doubt the database is case sensitive, so you will probably have to find another name, maybe justanotherbudman.

You could use "Budman." or Bud-Man or ...

Try using this as your username: Βudman

It is not the same as Budman !!!
