Question about a NMFBM mod.

Hi, I have decided to go for it and mod my NMFBM on my own. I have almost finished thinning out the convex grind and now I want to lighten the handle a little bit to balance her back out. I was wondering if anyone knew what size I need for replacement screws. I see that the rivets flare out a little bit so I wasn't sure if I would get the right measurement by just measuring the holes. Any help would be appreciated.

Not quite sure on the screw size, would love to see some pics of your project though :)
 
I will do a thread after i'm finished, Its a work in progress, Im using higher grits and taking my time because I have never done this before. Its going pretty good so far.
 
You could always use stainless steel breakline and flare the ends to have the original look.
 
Brave man you are..i hope you have taken pictures of the whole process...and it'll be even better if you shared them.
