Question about a Spartan sheath

Got a Spartan fixed blade recently and it's the first knife I've had by them. Love the knife and have no complaints about it but my question is about the sheath. It came with 2 different straps to connect to the belt and neither will stay clipped in and i keep dropping the knife. Just wondering if anyone has experience with them and if this is maybe a faulty set i got and should see about warranty replacement, or is it a common thing with these sheaths and i shouldn't bother sending it back? I really like the knife and if it's a common problem I'll just look for a different sheath, but if it is just a bad one i got then I'd like to get it replaced if possible because the sheath setup is nice to carry if it would stay on. Thank you for any help!

I think ill probably do that either way because I do like leather, just would be nice to have this for a backup, especially if it is faulty and they'll warranty it. There's definitely some great craftsman here on the forums though and I'd really like to carry their work!

oh wow that is nice, ive always preferred the classic look of the leather sheaths. Ill definitely check out more of his work and will more than likely see if he can do one, thank you for the heads up on that!

Strap like that came with my Enyo.
I had a similar problem at first.
Assuming the straps aren't actually just faulty, make sure the snap is all the way down.
Sometimes they'll snap partially on the outer rim and give you that typical "snap" you get from, snaps.

A bit hard to describe but you have to kind of start it on the edge and rock it down to the closed position.
They're designed not to come loose easily which can make them a bit harder to snap down.
At first, I'd get that "snap" you normally get and figured it was good to go, but it popped loose.
Another way of putting it is you have to apply pressure to one side of the snap and it'll kind of rock to the "snapped" and shut position.

If the straps are working like they're supposed to, it should be nearly impossible to break them loose simply by drawing the knife.
The only way to get them open again should be the reverse of that kind-of rocking motion. Side-to-side or straight-up pressure on the snap should put up quite a bit of resistance if it comes loose at all.

I'm going to play with it a bit today then and see if I can try it like your saying, appreciate you responding and for the advice

I've had two experiences with Pull-the-DOT loops. The one on my Clinch Pick sheath works perfectly. The ones I bought to add to my Ronin sheath wouldn't snap at all, no matter what I tried.

Not much to go on, but enough for me to say it's possible that your set is defective. When they work these loops are awesome.
