Hey there people
I'm curious about a few things, this one in particular

Will making modifications to my knife affect the blades integrity?

I'm thinking along the lines of adding thumb ramps to a blade or turning a spyderhole into a wave feature.

basically will minor grinding (introducing a high temp) to sections of the production blade create weak spots?

I've added a wave to my centofante III for the sake of it but if I add one to something else do I risk screwing my knife?

Thanks in advance

Possibly, but removing large sections of the blade reduces blade strength, at least.

In another thread one mentioned that getting your finished blade over 400f will screw the temper , a responder said that , that depends on the maker , the steel and so forth, basically it is a bad idea to get your blade hotter than you can comfortably hold it or touch it.
I think the blade integrity question is sort of common sense , no offense meant bro , do you yourself think if you remove X amount of material from your blade, handle, clip etc etc is going to weaken it ? If so , then you are probably right.
Thumb ramps and making a wave is most likely pretty safe as far as doing any undoable damage to your knife's blade.
