I am relatively new when it comes to knives. I have a question. I am wanting an everyday carry knife. The problem is I only like fixed blade knives. In Iowa you can carry a fixed blade knife as long as the blade is under 5 inches. My favorite knife that I have is my Buck119. Can a person have the 119 ground down an inch??
I want a knife that is going last me the rest of my life. The knives I do have I treat them well oiled. Another option...I do have an Ontrario Pilot Survival knife and the blade is 41/2 inches. But, I prefer the sharpness of the Buck119
The sheath that I have for the Pilot Survival Knife is a subdued green. So, it doesn't really stick out.
The most extreme condition that I would use my EDC for might be light batoning.
I don't know...I'm confused. Most of you are probably way farther advanced than me. So, any suggestions, ideas would be greatly appreciated.
