My father gave me a Schrade 6OT one of his friends gave him recently, it has a late model velcro sheath with the Schrade logo on it. It also has a lanyard hole. I've never seen this before on a Schrade, I've owned two 7OT Cavebears, no lanyard holes. Definitely not made by Taylor. Has a + after the 6OT. Any ideas? Sorry, cameras not working with the computer right now.

The 6OT is known as the Golden Bear. It is a 5" bearhead lockback with a single pin, and a lanyard hole, and, as far as we've seen, Schrade + stainless steel. I know that WalMart, for one, sold this knife with a nylon sheath.

That picture was borrowed from lrv's site, which is very cool and educational.

Okay, I was hoping that it was carbon steel. Something similar to 440A?
