Question about an older Boker barlow

Howdy, all. I have a question about an older Tree Brand barlow that I hope you all might be able to answer.
The knife in question is pictured below. It has carbon steel blades, no blade markings other than 494 on the main blade tang. It also has a bail, which is where my question comes in. I've only seen a (very) few barlows with bails, and none of them Bokers. Was this a factory offering or the work of an aftermarket tinkerer? Everything about it looks right, I've just never run across something quite like this. I can post a few more pictures if it would help, but you can pretty much see everything here.

Thanks for any help!

Definitely aftermarket. That blade configuration is one of my favorites.

Thank you, TJT. That's good to know. Now I don't have to feel too bad if I remove it.
I'm a fan of the big sheepsfoot, too!

Thank you for the quick answer!
