Does anyone know how to contact Bill Bagwell for the purpose of ordering a knife from him? From what I have read, he makes the finest fighting Bowie around. Are there any other makers that make fighting Bowies on the same level as his? Thanks.

Jerry Hossum
Larry Harley
Jerry Fisk
'Big' John Fitch
Matt Lamey

There are many others!

Bill :p  :D :D

To Hossom, Fisk, and Fitch, I would add Ernie Mayer of Black Cloud Knives and David Broadwell.

I spoke to Bagwell a couple months ago at this number:

(318) 878-8435

You cannot go wrong with one of his Helles Belles. There is a certain satisfaction in owning the very best of what you are looking for.

I have eight Bagwell knives including a Helles Belle. It is second to none.

Thanks again for all the replies. I am really impressed by the Hossom Bowie shown above, as well as all the Hossom blades I've now seen in some of the enries over the past few months. True works of art. Xrayed: thanks for the information, as well as the e-mail. You make one hell of a knife yourself. Are you in the business of knife making, or do you do it just as a hobby for yourself?

Man! You guys have really come up with the Who's Who of fighting bowie makers. I would also add Bruce Evans and Rob Patton to the Short List. They're bowies are both beautiful and tremendous performers.

BTW, Ad, I just finished testing Jerry Hossom's new Duelist (that's pictured above) and it performed better than any bowie I've ever tested. I'll post a full review soon.

Hey, I recognize that Evan's Dragon Slayer Bowie! :D That Bad Boy cuts like a DEMON.

Bruce, you've definitely earned the recognition. Your beautiful, classically styled bowies are truly world class in their performance.
