Question about Battle Rat

I bought a Battle Rat from a member online a few months ago. The blade has no markings such as "Swamp Rat".
Ive never seen another Battle Rat in person. Where these sterile or what?

Some are, some aren't. Maybe the earlier ones were not, maybe it just varies. Mine has the markings.
