Benchmade 440 vs. Spyderco Ti Salsa, how do they compare for light , medium and heavy cutting chores?

Two very different knives. The 440 has a sheep's foot blade in S30V, is longer and slimer than the Salsa. The Salsa is a short chubby blade in ATS34.
I expect the 440 will hold an edge better with it's S30V. The Salsa is a light duty knife ment to be shepple frendly and is very well put toghter.

I had two Ti Salsa knives had lovely ergos and very handy. But they developed blade play. As much as I hate to say it, I think you should avoid the Ti Salsa.

Blade play? That isn't good! Both of your Ti Salsas developed blade play?

yep, both weren't fixible either. One knife made 2 trips back to Spyderco and one made 1 trip I believe.

I'm going to reconsider my Ti-Salsa purchase now. Thank you for posting you experience with your Ti-Salsas. :D
