My first Benchmade has been with me for about 2 months. I have recently noticed something. On the blade of my Styker it has the butterfly with the words "Bali-song" inside it. Directly under this is "Benchmade" and directly under this is "U.S.A." Now, all of the pictures I see on the Benchmade site of the Stryker and other models all have the word "Benchmade" in the butterfly. I bought this knife new only a couple months ago. Did I get an old knife or what? It does not really matter to me, just wondering if it is rare or desirable or anything like that. If it make a difference it is a model 910 M2 BT2 plain edge. Thanks for any info.

One2gofst: Hello and welcome to the Forums!

About a year ago, BM switched to a new logo, and dropped the Balisong logo. Also, now, the model # is indicated under the "USA". The overall logo is also a bit larger and bolder. You got a very good knife, especially in the M2 steel. It's not rare, but it's a very reliable, useable knife that has been a mainstay of the BM line for at least 4 years. Enjoy it in good health!:)

Thank you very much for the info. It does not really matter if it is rare or not as I have been and would continue to carry it every day and use it at every opportunity. I guess the place I ordered it from just had old models in stock. On this one the model number is not on it. However, on the back side of the blade is the name "ELISHEWITZ" and his logo and M2HS denoting the steel.
