Question about Benchmade knives

I noticed on some of the less expensive Benchmades, they have GIN 1 steel in the blade, or whatever it's called. Is this comparable to the AUS8 in the CRKT's and such?

Thanks, I tried a search of "GIN 1" and it came up blank. I guess I didn't spell it right

It seems to be listed as GIN1 or GIN-1 more commonly.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll stay away from the cheaper Benchmades.
