About how many knives are produced a day? My guess, which might be high, is 5 or 6.

We have been doing well to put out 100 blades per month, Matthew. This with seven kamis working long hours almost everyday and with the help of 4 or 5 apprentices. The requirement for top quality slows us down but we will not have it any other way. But please take into consideration something like the Everest Katana and the tarwar take quite some time to make if done properly. After Dasein we intend to hire a few more kamis, sarkis and helpers, expand the shop physically and try to get caught up.

It's such a long and involved process. It requires so much skill. I might be able to swing a sledge hammer-but thats about it. The kamis do an amazing job.
