Question about blade swapping.

Hi I’m interested in the benchmade 940–1 and 940-2. I really like the look of the coated blades however they do not come with them in these styles. Would it void the warranty to buy a 940 BK and swap the blades or would it not make a difference? Also I assume this would be cheaper than just having the blade coated aftermarket?

No they are perfectly fine to swap. I have a s90v blade in my 940-2 scales currently. Benchmade will still honor warranty as well but if your going to keep both knives you could always swap the blade back before you sent it in.
 
Just to be clear, unless it has changed recently, Benchmade's warranty is void if the knife has been disassembled. That doesn't mean they will necessarily refuse warranty service, but they *could* and be within their warranty rights. With that said, if you know what you're doing, there's not reason not to.
