Question about blasting a Sebenza with inlays.

Has anyone ever seen a polished Sebenza with inlays that has had the scales blasted by a third party? I love the bladehq Sebenzas with carbon fiber inlays but I just don't like the polished slabs. I wish they were blasted like the Sebenzas with micarta inlays. I don't see why they couldn't be blasted with the CF intact. Or would it destroy the inlays? I would think the CF would be able to take it and it might even have the added benefit of removing the high polish that CR puts on them. Anyways, just wondering if anyone had tried it or seen one that had been blasted. Thanks.

I do not have experience with him, but I believe SoLo does this for a fee. Try PMing him and asking. He may chime in as well.

Thanks, I'll do that. I've got a PM in to atony as well. I feel like someone must have tried this at some point.

I know atony does this as well. You will be in good hands with either. atony is a great guy.

Bead blasting will not destroy your inlays. It will affect their look, though. The inlays are a little tricky to remove and reinstall them, not too bad though.

You can take the inlays out?? I thought that destroyed them!
I like the carbon fiber but also think they will be nicer with blasted scales.

They're not destroyed when I take them out. Then again, I know what I'm doing.
