Question about BM 710

I just got a Benchmade 710 D2 in the mail and it is very stiff opening. The axis lock button is also stiff. I have Benchmade Mini-Grip and it is a flipper, i.e. pull the axis lock button back and it will open and close with a flip of my wrist. Is the stiffer action normal with the 710?:confused:
 
I have a D2 I carry now and then and a NIB 154CM model 710 and each of them are easy flippers. What I found is the pivot on the 710 is very senstive to adjustment. A minute turn from perfect can tighten it up quite a bit.

His 710! lol. I guess i have to watch what i say around here. But yeah loosen up the pivot a bit and see if that helps, but make sure theres no blade play! try dropping some lubricating oil(for knives!)on the knife also.
 
Sorry about the two posts, I loosed the pivot about a quarter turn and it works great now thanks.
