Question about BM 710

I just got a Benchmade 710 D2 in the mail and it is very stiff opening. The axis lock button is also stiff. I have a Benchmade Mini-Grip and it is a flipper, i.e. pull the axis lock button back and it will open and close with a flip of my wrist. Is the stiffer action normal with the 710?

This is not my experience at all... have you tried adjusting the pivot?
