I just recently received my Custom Shop Vex and Boss Jack from the BladeShowGanzaaaa 2015. The specs listed for the Vex is 3/16 thick, and it measures .185 inch. So you can't get much closer than that. But the Boss Jack specs list it as being .220 inch thick. My dial calipers measure it at .168 inch.
I'm definitely not complaining, as I have been looking for a thin Busse Infi. If I had known, I might have ordered two. And if the Boss Street is this thin, I would have ordered one of them also.
My question is, have Boss Jacks always been this thin? Were all the Boss Jacks from this ganzaaaa the same? And are the Boss Street knives from this ganzaaaa thin also?
That being said and out of the way, this Boss Jack just may be the knife I've been looking for. Thin in the blade, and thin in the hand also. It is even light enough that I wouldn't feel terrible about throwing it in a backpack. Although a thin Boss Street would fill that need even better. Not a chopper, but what I would call a multi purpose knife. Now I need to find a minimalist sheath to complete the package.
This knife is thin enough that it has got me thinking about an INFI fillet knife, ha, ha!
