Question about broken tip on caly 3 zdp

Hey guys, let me start off by saying this is in no way a complaint or anything. I have a caly 3 carbon fiber, with the zdp and 420 laminated blade, and it is an absolutely amazing knife. The other day I was cutting some small zip ties, and snapped about 1/4 inch or a bit more off the tip. I didn't knowingly twist or anything, but that may have happened, I'm not sure. I love this knife and feel that re grinding the blade will shorten it too much. My question is is there a way to have this rebladed? I'm not sure if it's something that can be done or if it's something that spyderco will do. Please note as I said this isn't a complaint and I don't feel entitled to any type of repair for nothing as the knife broke while being used. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how I should proceed here or if there are any options for me as far as getting this knife fixed. It's my favourite knife so it just sucks to not have it usable is all. Makes me wish I had carried one of my delicas that day instead. :( I have not called customer service or anything yet as I said, I don't feel like this is really a warranty thing but I'm not sure.

Blade or edge- Broken tip from prying or dropping, chipped edge or broken serrations, destroyed edge due to improper sharpening, rust due to neglect or other blade issues. Spyderco does not replace blades. Depending on the blade’s condition we may be able to re-profile or re-serrate.

Sorry about your tip.If it's only a .25" it can probably be re profiled.I'd send it in if it were mine.

Hope this helps.

Well if that's the case it looks like I may end up with a Caly 2.75. I am a knife maker so I could re grind the tip without sending it in, I was just hoping a reblade would be possible even at my cost. I understand why they won't do it though. At least I will have the only Caly 2.75 around. Take that you sprint run collectors lol.

I don't think a re-blade would be cost effective on a pinned knife like the caly.

Spyderco doesn't sell or replace blades.
