Is it normal for the clippers to not close completely when cutting something. I have attached a picture of the clippers. Thanks for any info, I appreciate it.

No, that's not normal, but from the picture I can't tell what the problem is. There were two versions of the scissors, as far as I know. One was from Wenger, I believe. I don't remember the source of the other style. Depending on the problem with yours, you might be able to drive the pivot pin out and replace the scissors - or send it to someone who does that sort of work. It's worth emailing or calling Buck Knives Inc. Buck Knives Inc. to ask, but my guess is that they don't have the stock to repair it themselves.

I need to ask Buck about a 305 lancer myself - I recently got a red one on eBay cheap, but it has significant side to side wiggle on the blade that I wish the seller would have mentioned. It's a user so I might try to tighten it myself, but if it came loose once, it probably needs more than a simple squeeze in a vice to keep it from loosening up again? Like I said, it's worth asking about.

I picked this up on ebay as well and the description said they work perfectly. I may contact Buck or just request a refund. I really like the 305's and was hoping this would be a good one.
