Question about Buck 305 w/clippers

No, that's not normal, but from the picture I can't tell what the problem is. There were two versions of the scissors, as far as I know. One was from Wenger, I believe. I don't remember the source of the other style. Depending on the problem with yours, you might be able to drive the pivot pin out and replace the scissors - or send it to someone who does that sort of work. It's worth emailing or calling

to ask, but my guess is that they don't have the stock to repair it themselves.
I need to ask Buck about a 305 lancer myself - I recently got a red one on eBay cheap, but it has significant side to side wiggle on the blade that I wish the seller would have mentioned. It's a user so I might try to tighten it myself, but if it came loose once, it probably needs more than a simple squeeze in a vice to keep it from loosening up again? Like I said, it's worth asking about.
