Question about Busse Camo finishes

I am looking for more information on Busse Camo finishes. From pictures I've seen, it looks a bit smoother than the colored finishes Busse normally puts on their knives. I called Busse and was told it's a spray on finish that's baked, so I'm thinking cerakote, but am not positive. I was also wondering what the knives looked like underneath the camo finishes. Would they be smooth like the satin finish knives, or rough like the competition. From what I understand, cerakote needs a cleaned surface to adhere properly.

Thanks.

I would say its not as smooth as standard coats, often has a more dried out feel to it, atleast 4-5 pieces of the lighter camo I recently had. Not really rough but certainly not as smooth as a tanker, jungle green or artic white coat (slicker feel). I did have some darker camo coat recently that I would compare to black crinkle coat in texture.

THe coating is typically the same as with the rest of the knives as far as I can tell. The only camo that I recall that was smoother than others was this DSF. Still dont think it cerakote though.

THis KZ came from this last KC and is just like any other coated Busse except it has extra layers of coating applied to create the camo pattern.

Just like this ash

Thanks for the pictures. I'm really not a fan of the highly textured finishes so I may just go with the competition finish instead.
