Does Busse use adhesive and pins/bolsters(not sure what their called) to hold the Micarta slabs on or do they just use pins/bolsters(not sure what their called) ? If adhesive is used, what kind?

i dont know the answer to that question, but i know that the steel is powdercoated underneath the handle, so that would be between the steel and handle for the adhesive to stick too (be that good or bad)

busse flares their tubing out with a press at pretty high pressures, so even if no adhesive was used im sure it would be fine.

good question though, and it would be interesting to know...

Which blade finish models have the powdercoating under the handle? I was just assuming that they put the finish, black crinkle/satin/DC, over the whole knife and then sandwiched the micarta slabs on the tang.

anything thats powdercoated has the powdercoat underneath the handle slabs

its basically a way to conserve powdercoat, and add another layer of corrosion protection to an area of the knife that will likely never see the light of day again, as they are permenanty attached by the tubes.
