Does anyone know what steel the Camco pocket knives use for the blades? The build quality seems pretty decent even if they are from the PRC.

Hi,

I just picked up a Camco Peanut with Micarta scales. And like you said, very well made.

From what I've read, like most China made blades, Camco stainless is 440A. An fair steel for the uses that small folders get used for.

The old Camillus Pocket knives were 420 Stainless. The Camco Workhorse knives are 440A Stainless aka Surgical Stainless Steel.
