Question about Case Delrin and synthetics?

I guess the main question is that when Case lists a knife as Delrin or synthetic are they the same thing and if not, what are the differences?

I picked up an orange delrin stockman that has renewed my interest in the "plastic handle" knives. The orange is listed on the Case website as Delrin while they have white knives that are listed as just synthetic?
The yellow handles, that I have always called yellow delrin are listed as yellow synthetic with no mention of delrin? So are they the same thing, if not is one more prone to cracking at the pins than the other? I have 2 yellow handles from around 2010 that have cracks on the pins despite never being dropped or anything.( I "think" this was during a period that some considered a downtime in quality from Case?)
And then there is Gum Fuddy? :)

Delrin is a specific acetal resin thermoplastic made by DuPont.
Synthetic handles could be anything that is not a natural material.....Corian, nylon, acrylics, celluloid etc.....

I have some 1980s Camillus made Remingtons with delrin and and although most are not cracked there are some. The R-3 had a pin very close to the butt end of the knife and is almost always cracked.

My understanding is delrin is made by dupont so I would assume, but don't know, that the delrin on one knife brand is equal to the delrin on different knife brand.
