Question About Cold Steel Tomahawks

Hey, Guys!
This is my first post here, and its about tomahawks! So, I currently own a Cold Steel Frontier Hawk, but I have had trouble with the head coming loose during use. I was thinking about purchasing a Trail Hawk, but am no having some second thoughts... Any opinions?

A tomahawk head isn't supposed to be really tight. If it was there would be a much higher chance of the handle breaking instead of falling out when it's thrown. It will most likely be the same way if you buy another. Its a tomahawk not a hatchet.

If you didn't already get rid of the screw. Pull the head off clean out the eye to remove any high spots a file or sandpaper works for this . That will make the head fit better I also sand down the haft until I get the best fit I can. That should make a much better fit. Welcome hope that helps.

Sounds like some ill advice.... Where did you get this information?

And I squirt clear silicone between the head and shaft. After it sits for a week or so I have a rock solid head, which stays that way for years.

Thanks so much, guys! Your advice was much appreciated and I think I might be purchasing myself a Trail Hawk... :)
