I did a trade with another member, and got three nice slipjoints. Two were Remingtons made by Camillus, and one was a Sears Craftsman. It was marked Sears Craftsman. When I saw the other members FT thread, I thought it was a Camillus because they made Craftsman knives as far as I knew. He said it was made by Schrade. When I got to the PO today to pick them up, the Craftsman is definitely stamped like a Schrade. I need to get some picks and the model number. Nice blade, sort of a Turkish blade.

I always thought Craftsmans were Camillus made. This throws a wrench in the mix. Did anyone make Craftsman knives before Schrade? Any Buck Craftsmans floating around out there?

Looks sort of like this one, but has Schrade style markings, no logos on blade, and this is embarassing, but I just got it. I don't think it has a long pull (I'm in the next room on the computer). Gonna take pics. Anyway, wanna learn some history of Craftsman.

Considering Schrade and Camillus both made Bucks under contract, I doubt Buck made any Craftsmans. My Craftsman carpenter's knife is tang stamped Schrade Walden. You can barekt make out the Craftsman etch on the main blade.

When I was younger I would have said, NO Buck did not make any Craftsman knives after they took them home in 85. But now that I am almost Government certified old, I will say 'I have never heard of Buck making Craftsman.' I do have a Craftsman that is the spitting image of a Camillus made Buck. Seems I have read about that in Camillus or BL forum.
