Question about CS mini outdoorsman from the 80´s?

I just found my old "Cold Steel mini outdoorsman" that I got around 1985, its been lost for a couple of years but yesterday I found it in the garage. I actually got surprised how nice this little knife is, very well designed and fantastic looking.

Does anyone know what kind of steel Cold Steel used for the Mini Outdoorsman around 1985? And when did they stop manufacturing it?

I am spit-balling, but I think it was AUS-8.

I'm betting AUS-8, also.

I suppose it says "JAPAN" on it, too.

Thanks for the help! Yes, its engraved with "Made in Japan".

That increases the chances of AUS-8.

The older Japan made Cold Steel knives are some nice knives IMO.
