Question about CS Recon Tanto

Hi,
I want to buy CS Recon tanto but before this I have a little question /may be stupid/. When I visited the store few days ago I noticed that the knife has two parallel /not very deep/ lines on the spine of the blade - from the kraton handle to the tip. Are these lines cosmetic defect or all Recon tantons have such by production?:jerkit:

I have one and there isn't any lines on the spine of mine. It doesn't sound like it would affect the performance of the knife too much. look on the bottom of the handle and see if it's a factory second.

Can't see any lines on mine either.

Here's a (crappy) pic of it among some other tools.

Recon tanto is my absolute favourite big knife of all. It's old, it's battered but it still cuts like there is no tomorrow! Excellent knife for the big jobs.
