Hey guys, I'm wondering who are some of the current traditional japanese style bladesmiths out there? I'm not looking for traditional in how they make their knives/sword (a la Jesus Hernandez) but more of the traditional style final product (like Jimmy Lile). So no Leu, or Hartsfeld style.
I have a project on the drawing board and realizing I don't know a whole lot about certain aspects of construction methods. I am going to do a smaller knife first, but my ultimate goal is a shōbu-zukuri tanto in aikuchi fittings. This project is for me, so its not like I'm up against any time constraints or anything.
I'm just looking for some names so I can search more thoroghly for the information I need.
