Hello, I'm considering the bali as a new weapon to play. I asked my instructor if he knew any bali techniques (mainly manipulations, openings/closings, etc.) that I could use to just mess around w/. I have a feeling it would greatly help my knife and stick handling, and just coordination in general.
Seeing as how I'm just going to be a beginner, I saw that the Dragon Forge butterflies were only about $25. No, I don't need a BM bali, so don't even suggest that. Maybe a few years from now, but what I really need is something that won't break, opens smoothly enough that I don't need to exaggerate my movements to manipulate the blade, and one whose pins won't bust doing basic drills. Would the Dragon Forge knives fit this bill? I would also like to know what materials are used on these knives, if you know. I'd prefer the blade not to be 420 , but hell, for the money, and for its purpose, I guess I won't really care. Thanks in advance.
