Question About Dying Nylon Handle

Buck has a lightweight 110 in S35VN that I'm thinking about getting. The only thing holding me back is that it only comes in chartreuse. The handles are nylon & riveted, so it doesn't come apart. Can the knife be dipped in a dark Rit dye to get rid of that ugly color, or maybe daubed with a dark leather dye, without damaging the pivot or lock. I've never dyed a knife before, or anything else for that matter.
Thanks

Spyderco’s Japanese FRN plastic handles can be dyed with RIT dye. If Buck’s plastic is similar, it should work. Maybe Buck can tell you?

It would probably dye just fine. It won't damage the pivot or lock. I've done several Spyderco's that way because they couldn't be disassembled.

Thanks for the replies. I thought that'd be the case. I'm a BUCK fan, and I've been hoping for Buck to offer their Slim Select 110 & 112 in S35VN or Magnacut, but .......chartreuse......that's a big, fat NO! I'm still on the fence with this one, and with any luck, they'll be sold out by the time I make up my mind.
