Question about Echelon blade length

Kershaw's website lists the Echelon's blade length as 3.25 inches but I noticed that the front of the handle extends past the cutting edge a bit so I was wondering if the 3.25 inches is actually the blade's cutting edge. Can anyone with an Echelon on hand measure it for me? Also, anyone know a good place to buy the old pre-2013 Echelon models?

I get 3" sharpened edge and 3.25" overall blade length.

Just curious, what's the difference between pre-2013 and current models? Or did I misinterpret that part?

Thanks guys. It was late and I've never cared much for the echelon, I was just curious about differences since I was unaware of any.

i'm gonna stop by bass pro shop and see which model they have on display. those pre-2013s are sweet

The Echelon is a nice medium-sized knife (well, "medium" sized compared to my other EDC knives). I liked the scallops in the blade. Thought it gave it a different look. As Jimmer pointed out, though, it presented some challenges during production that weren't really sustainable. Glad I got one when I did. :)
