Hello. I'm new to the forum and have been thinking about purchasing an Emerson cqc 10. I found it for sale with a description that confused me, and I was hoping someone could shed some light on whether this was an advertising mistake or some feature that I'm unaware of. Here's the verbiage from the seller:

"The 4.5" Long Handle is Black G-10 epoxy / glass laminate with TITANIUM Liners.

The 3 2/3" Spear Point Combo Edge Blade is .125" Thick and Made from 154 CM Stainless Steel with Convential V Grind and a 57 - 59 HRC and SATIN Finish.

The Blade Lock is made from Aero Space Grade Aluminum. Carries with a Stainless Pocket Clip."

My question is specifically in regards to the blade lock which they state is "Aluminum." I was under the impression that the liner and lock were both titanium. Is this just misinformation on the part of the seller, or is there a second aluminum locking device?

Also, I saw one member here post an Emerson for sale that had an aluminum "swedge" I was wondering what the swedge is??

Thanks.

The lock is Titanium so that is just a typo or something, it's defo. not Ali.

A swedge is a grind on the spine of the blade, usually done to help thin out the point
a bit or reduce weight. I persoanly think a swedged blade looks better too. :)

I can't think of anything that's aluminium in CQC-10 or any other Emerson that I know of.
