Question about Emerson karambits

I realize the virtue of the Emerson karambit with the CQC blade and the one with the bullnose blade over the orginal curved karambit blade is their stabbing ability. That said, however, how do you decide which blade to get? Does the CQC karambit blade offer any benefit over the bullnose blade, or vice versa?

Hay man,

I got a combat karambit (curved blade) a while ago, no problems there at all.
I got one of the CQC and Commander karambits not long ago and have decided I would not be using them for any personal defence use, they don't translate the fighting style at all well in my opinion but having said that i have warmed to the Commander karambit, not for defence but as a utility blade around camp etc.
I think the Commander, CQC and Bullnose would be better if they had serations and were aimed at utility use because they just don't work as a karambit used for defence.
The "stabbing" action of a Karambit (weather your index or little finger is through the contole hole) is like punching strait foward with your fist tilted 90 deg. from normal, this does not work with the other styles of blade and the limitations don't stop there, what would be a hooking rip of an attack with a traditional shaped blade is a mear slash with any other blade style and removes the whole point of having a karambit for this reason !!!
