I'm very interested about buying a emerson knife for christmas (i know it's early for it :D ). But i don't know this brand.
A mini commander will be a good choice because i don't like big knives (LEA too in my country) and i love its design (i don't like tanto blade). Other advise?
Any review of this knife? Does the wave system damage the opening in the time?
thank you for your answer

mini comm's are ok imho, but really most of the EKIs have a little shorter blade than avg. imho, mostly around 3.5" to 3.8", really nothing over 4"or so ya might wanna take that into consideration, the mini comm is only slightly shorter, ya might also consider a mini CQC7. also i dont think ya will have any liner probs imho.

The mini Commander will serve you well. It would be best to try and find someplace that carries a wide selection of Emersons, then you can actually try them out..

Hi,
Hopefully someone can please help me. I have been looking everywhere that I can for an Emerson Super Commander for a very special friend for Christmas. I hear that these type was only sold for a limited time. This knife is just like a regular commander knife but the blade is 1/4 inch bigger. Overall the knife is a little bigger than the regular commander.

Thank you

I'm also looking for a Super Com. I called Emerson last week and spoke to someone who said that the last run of Super Coms. was about 2 years ago.

If I understand correctly the Super Com. is made for TAD Gear and possibly one other dealer only. I also contacted TAD Gear and was told that they do have future plans to have more made but have no idea when. Bummer!

really the 'super' stuff (ie super commander, SOCFK, etc) are not much longer than the std version, like .5" IIRC, not much. not to say they arent neat though.

i just always wished for a commander or CQC12 or '13, or maybe a '8 w/a 4.5" or so blade, like a commander the same rough size as a BM 630. that i would have to have, for sure.

The Super Commanders blade may only be 1/4" longer but it is a substantially larger knife. Its cutting power is greatly increased as well. I haven`t carried a regular Commander much since I got the Super Commander over 3 years ago.

i still would prefer a larger version myself, maybe "super-duper commander" lol.

a 4.5" or 5" blade waved P-Tac would also be cool. w/a zero bevel grind too.

imho EKI needs one folder thats in the 4.5-5" range, at least 1,
