Hello all. The ESEE 3 seems to have everything I want in my outdoors blade; 1/8" thick, full flat grind, choil, good factory sheath,excellent heat treat, lifetime warranty....but I just can't stand the way the ESEE handles feel. I held an ESEE 4 once and immediately put it down because I hated it. I see that there are G10 replacements from TKC that look to be slightly more contoured. For those that have them, what kind of difference did it make over the factory scales? If I absolutely hate the factory ones, will the G10 replacements make that much of a difference? I have heard they are better than the factory scales but I dont have them myself. Do you have a way to sand the factory ones down? I took a dremel to my Esee 6 scales and made them feel a lot better. Used to feel like I was holding a brick.
I'd rather just stick to my Beckers than have to spend the time and energy to sand the scales down.
