Question about For Sale Forum item

Sorry, but I lost my status as a Gold Member and can't Search, so if this is a common question and is in a FAQ somewhere, please take pity on a child of misfortune...

...But if a knife is sold, isn't the seller supposed to leave the posted asking price in the For Sale thread???

The seller does not have to leave the posted price. I personally appreciate when they do, as it gives the rest of us an idea of what the market is doing. Some buyers and sellers feel it reveals what they did the deal for, but it doesn't really. Once they go to email to finalize terms, they can always settle on a discount or throw in shipping or waive the PayPal fee.

I especially appreciate when a seller leaves a trail of lowered prices, as some guys do, graying out the earlier prices and leaving the current one in red.

Thank You! I'll go back and delete my comment on leaving the price posted.

I have about a zillion Forums bookmarked and I know one has a rule about leaving the price...but CRS kicked in again...
