Question about fusion warranty

I came to post this question, when I saw an example of a fusion tactiacal tomahawk breaking. I do realize that most major companies to have some quality control issues and this sort of thing will happen from time to time. However, most major well respected knife companies offer a lifetime warranty on their knives. I consider sog to be one of these companies. While they do offer this warranty on most of their products, I was a little confused to see that the fusion series only carries a 1 year warranty on manufacturer defects.

The fact that this is the case gives the impression (to me) that Sog does not neccessarily stand completely behind their fusion series. I feel that I am jumping to conclusions in assuming this and dont want to do that. I was wondering if Chris or someone who knows, could clarify why the warranty is only for one year on the fusion line.

Yes, the stated warranty is one year on Fusion products. However, we will stand behind any product we produce. I have not yet asked for proof purchase on any Fusion product that has been returned for warranty and there are many that are more than a year old. AS for the reason the warranty is only one year, well there were many choice behind the scenes here that went in to that and I can not go into and do not know them all. I can tell you that should you have a problem with a Fusion product do not hesitate to contact us about it and we will most likely work to make the customer happy.
