Hello, I was wondering if there is a difference between Gerber 22-01400 boxed knives. The boxes both say lmf ll but one box says A.S.E.K and does not come with the leg? straps. Thank you for your time.

I believe that the only difference between the A.S.E.K. and "regular" LMF II, is the A.S.E.K. comes with the belt/webbing cutter.

Thanks for the resonse, but both of them came with the webbing cutter. The asek came in a smaller box and without the straps. web cutter sheaths are different in appearance and the Lmfs blades have a different finish. Hope this helps. I thought the asek would have been the better of the two. Thanks again Planetcat. Still wondering.

Anything else different about the primary sheaths?
I know that the original LMF II 22-01400 (2006-'07) was made with 12C27 sandvik stainless steel (mine has this), but due to availability issues, that steel was later dropped for 440A, then back to 12C27, then and currently 420HC. The accessories may also have changed over time. Mine came with the cutter+sheath and also 2 thin leg straps. Check the labelling on the packages for indications of production year and steel type used. Here is a link to someone's page regarding the matter:
