I'm not too familiar with how media-blasting affects dimensions, other than the obvious fact that there is material removal. I'm just wondering if anyone knows off-hand, when you send in a knife to CRK and ask for the scales to be re-blasted do they tape over the pivot and standoff holes to preserve the ID?

Cant answer your question, since I'm just a guy with some CRK, same as you. However, I think it is worth mentioning that Chris and crew wouldn't do the reblasting service if it weakened the integrity of the knife in any way. I'm sure there are proper measures taken!

Not enough material is removed to even notice a difference. In fact, I doubt you could measure the difference with regular calipers.

I'd suggest that they probably do not blast the interior sides of the slabs....and why would they?
