question about gunting

hi - got a spydie gunting thursday and its not serial numbered - all i have seen have had SN- whats up with this??

I am 99% sure it was only the first 1000 with the serial number. The one Nemo let me use for a bit was numbered as well. It is HIGHLY unlikely you can buy a numbered model now, without paying a lot more or getting lucky. Sorry for the bad news. Try calling Spyderco and asking if they have any left?
 
oh hey i'm not at all disapointed, just curious - i want the knife for a tool, not my collection, and woulda been cool if it woulda had a SN, but i got a VERY good deal ($97, new in box) so i cant complain-just all the 1's i had seen had a SN is all - thanks a lot for the info....
