I purchased an HD-7 a few months back from an E-bay store. I think I paid around $250-$260 for it. I've noticed that mine is slightly different from those I have seen on this site. Mine is dated 2006. Under HD-7 on the blade, it states, "MADE IN USA". The others I have seen simply say, "HD-7". Also the titanium side of my frame has more of a polished look instead of the matte finishes I've been seeing. It came with box and papers, but please someone tell me it's not a fake.

I own a 2004 HD-7 and it has a Ti bead-blasted handle. I don't know what the pattern was for how the Ti was made for the different years, because my friend has the 2006 one and it's bead blasted. Unlike the 12, for 2004 the Ti was bead blasted and the ones for 2006 are polished. I don't think yours is fake. If you could get some pics it would be nice. I will try posting up some pics of mine later on.

I just found out that on the 2004 HD-7 don't say "Made in USA". I have a 2004 and it doesn't say "Made in USA". However, mr. vu's 2006 HD-7 says "Made in USA". I don't think you have much to worry about whether it's fake or not. Hope mr.vu and I could help.
